An organization that has become common, but seems to be
worked on, is the amount of shootings and deaths from police officers to
civilians. The article I chose is based in North Carolina, where an officer
shot a man who was carrying a weapon and ran from the cop. The suspect who ran
passed away from his injuries.
I believe one of the problems is the lack of training to
subdue a suspect, instead of killing them. I think there is opportunity to
create a new course work similar to the military’s for any person who has a
gun.
I believe the person who has the problem is the police departments.
Although I believe they do not deliberately try to kill people, there is still
a lack of defense and attack training that can be corrected.
Little Rock
Announces New Court For Misdemeanor Offenders With Mental Illness
Little Rock has been attempting to recognize the younger
generations need for mental health disabilities, including the punishments
needed for those acting out in accordance to their mental disability. The hope
for Little Rock’s Pulaski County is to embrace the misdemeanors and provide
alternative forms of rehabilitation for those acting out.
The only problem I see being a prominent issue is not
regulating the proper amount of funding to this kind of problem. There will
need to be many psychiatrist, doctors, psychologists, and physical therapist
available for these younger adults. Those who are misdiagnosed or improperly
treated can get away with doing things that could alter their adult future.
I believe the problem lies with the city of Little Rock, AR.
In order to avoid conflict they will need to ensure there is proper funding and
opportunities. They’ll also need to be able to accept all without any forms of
discrimination to avoid legal issues in the future.
Ex-Searcy bank
manager admits theft of $329,240
As the title states, A bank manager was caught embezzling
$329,240 from September 2014 to June 2018. While the banker was on vacation, a
customer had called to question actions on their account that they had not
performed. This led to the investigation of multiple customer’s accounts being
tampered with by this banker. The banker ultimately said that the accusations
were true, and is currently awaiting trial.
The problem presented would be the lack of monitor of
bankers misuse of accounts. There are typically audits that are performed, but
if the auditor is not investigating thoroughly, as we suspect this one had not,
then embezzlement options such as this are able to slip up.
The problem concerns First Community Bank and their lack of
proper monitor. Ultimately they will need to invest into some extra form of
security and investigation to ensure that the system is not being manipulated
elsewhere in their bank.
Deputies bring
down three for meth
Three men were driving in a car that had an expired license
plate. They were pulled over, and was seen throwing out baggies of unidentified
substances that turned out to be meth and marijuana. The three men claimed they
did not use drugs, but the police arrested and investigated all three to
discover that was untrue. Instead, during the search, it proved they had enough
supplies in the car to be a rolling drug store.
The problem presented is the ability for civilians to create
and distribute illegal substances. The opportunity to is to form some way of
monitoring large quantity orders of legal items that can be manipulated and
sold.
The problem concerns the city of Athens, Texas. The city
should be invested in extra training for police and a close monitoring system
on pharmacy and medical marijuana stores.

blazes trail as 1st woman to coach at Super Bowl
The article is an interview between Katie Sowers and how she
made it into the NFL as a coach. It is also discussed the trials and
tribulations of becoming that coach, the path she had to endure, and how other
females can follow her path.
The problem presenting is the linger fact that women are a
rarity in football, outside of cheerleading. Being advertised as the first
woman coaching a Super Bowl NFL team show the lack of options for females to be
in lead coaching positions.
The problem presented is with the National Football League. These
kinds of articles shows the unequal opportunities for women to step up and lead
in the NFL. By highlighting this story so much shows they are willing to alter
their ways, there is no proof on how the are expected to allow more women to
lead and coach.
